November at CoECT: Learning, Connection and Wellbeing

As the days grow shorter, November is a good time to pause, reconnect and prioritise our wellbeing.
Supporting children and families affected by trauma can bring both challenges and rewards. At CoECT, we understand the importance of having the right knowledge, support and connections along the way. This month, we’re sharing opportunities to learn, connect with others and take a little time for yourself.
Remember, small steps matter, and you don’t have to do it all alone.

A little more support, when you need it
When you’re busy supporting others, it can be easy to overlook your own needs. You may be doing your best to be there for everyone around you while quietly running on empty yourself.
CoECT offers a range of therapeutic support options, including a three-session Emotional Wellbeing Programme, a supportive listening service and an eight-week programme focused on interrupting compassion fatigue.
These services provide space to reflect on your own needs, explore ways to protect your wellbeing and find support when you need it.
You don’t need to wait until things feel unmanageable before asking for support. Taking care of yourself matters, too.
Connect with others through our T.I.Ps Meet-Ups
Sometimes, one of the most helpful things we can do is connect with people who understand what we’re going through.
As part of their CoECT membership, parents and carers are invited to join our T.I.Ps Meet-Ups — friendly, welcoming spaces to share experiences, exchange ideas and find encouragement with others who understand the challenges and rewards of parenting children affected by trauma.
