About CoECT

Connecting Experience, Knowledge and Compassion

At CoECT, we believe that every family deserves understanding, connection and the right support to thrive.

We bring together therapeutic knowledge, professional expertise and lived experience to support parents, carers and professionals working with children who may have experienced trauma, loss and disrupted attachment.

Through specialist support, training, resources and opportunities to connect, we help build understanding, strengthen relationships and empower the people who make a difference in children's lives.

Because behind every behaviour is a story, and behind every family is a need for understanding, connection and support.

Our Story

CoECT was founded by Sarah Naish, bringing together and merging the work of Inspire Training Group, The Haven Parenting and Wellbeing Centre, and NATP Ltd into one organisation.

This merger brought together a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise in therapeutic parenting, trauma-informed practice, family support and professional training, creating a unified organisation with a shared purpose: to help families, carers and professionals better understand and support children who have experienced trauma, loss and disrupted attachment.

Today, CoECT builds on these foundations, offering specialist family support, therapeutic parenting resources, membership, training and opportunities for connection. Our work is rooted in the belief that when parents, carers and professionals feel understood, supported and equipped, they are better able to make a lasting difference in children's lives.

Our Purpose

At the heart of CoECT is a commitment to helping people understand the needs behind behaviour, build stronger relationships and develop the confidence and skills to support children who have experienced early adversity.

We recognise that supporting children can be rewarding, complex and exhausting. Parents, carers and professionals need understanding and support too. That is why we work to create opportunities for learning, connection and practical help, bringing therapeutic understanding into everyday life.

Because when the adults around a child feel understood, supported and equipped, they are better placed to help that child thrive.

Our Approach

We work in ways that are simple, compassionate and grounded in evidence.

- Trauma-informed — emotional safety and regulation come first

- Neurodiversity affirming — we respect different ways of thinking, feeling and processing

- Compassion led — support that feels gentle and manageable

- Evidence based — guided by neuroscience, attachment theory and trauma‑informed practice - Accessible — clear language, short guidance and low‑demand design
