Emotional Wellbeing Support for Parents, Carers & the Professionals Supporting Them
Supporting a child or family who has experienced trauma, loss, adversity or disrupted relationships can be incredibly rewarding — but it can also be emotionally demanding.
Whether you are a parent, carer or professional, the impact can build over time.
You may find yourself feeling:
-
emotionally exhausted
-
overwhelmed or constantly “on alert”
-
affected by the experiences of the child you support
-
less patient or resilient than you would like
-
unable to switch off after a difficult day
-
disconnected from your own needs
-
unsure how to keep giving when your own emotional resources are running low.
You don't have to wait until you reach breaking point.
Taking care of your own emotional wellbeing isn't selfish. It can help you feel more grounded, more resourced and better able to continue supporting the people who depend on you.
£150 per session · £450 total incl. vat
Three sessions are required. Each session lasts approximately 60–90 minutes.
A space that's just for you
Our three-session Emotional Wellbeing Support Programme gives you dedicated time to step out of your usual role and focus on you.
There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out.
You can talk about what you're experiencing, explore what's affecting you and develop practical ways of supporting your emotional wellbeing.
Your sessions may include:
Supportive listening
A confidential, compassionate space where you can talk openly about what you're carrying — without judgement and without having to put on a brave face.
Havening®
Gentle Havening® techniques can be used to support emotional regulation and help you work with feelings associated with stress and difficult experiences.
Coaching
Supportive coaching helps you reflect on what you need, identify what may be getting in the way of your wellbeing and consider practical steps that can make a difference.
The sessions are tailored to you. There isn't a prescribed conversation you have to follow or a particular issue you have to bring.
Who is this for?
This support is for individuals who are caring for, supporting or working alongside children and families affected by trauma, adversity, loss or disrupted relationships.
This includes:
Parents & carers
Foster parents, adoptive parents, kinship carers, birth parents and others caring for children.
Professionals
Social workers, family support workers, education professionals, therapists and others working alongside children and families.
You don't need to be in crisis.
And you don't need to know exactly what you need before you start.
You simply need to recognise that some support would be helpful.
What will I get from the programme?
The three sessions give you protected time to:
