Certificate in Therapeutic Parenting
This course is benchmarked at a Level 2 standard of learning. It is a Therapeutic Parenting programme and includes SAfE parenting which is based on the PARENTS model of Therapeutic Parenting devised by Sarah Naish (2017) which supports parents in their ability to look at the root cause of their child’s behaviour and respond consciously rather than emotionally.
In this program, you will deepen your understanding of the key principles of SAfE Parenting. You will gain foundational knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting strategies, learn how to establish a trusting relationship, and understand how to meet the needs of a growing and developing child. Additionally, you will be equipped to create a SAfE Parenting environment and explore aspects of self-care and maintaining your own well-being.
