At The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma C.I.C (CoECT), we offer a complete pathway of trauma-informed learning — from accredited qualifications to flexible CPD and whole-organisation support.   

 

Whether you're a foster parent, social worker, or school leader, or early years practitioner, our programmes are designed to build therapeutic confidence, meet statutory standards, and support children with complex needs.

Accredited Customised Qualifications

​Discover our Customised Qualifications, designed specifically for parents, carers and professionals. These qualifications are externally accredited by the nationally recognised awarding body, NCFE CACHE.

Level 2 SAfE Parenting: A Therapeutic Parenting Approach

This qualification is suitable for parents who are accessing edge-of-care services or have been instructed by family court to complete a parenting qualification.

Level 2 Therapeutic Fostering Qualification (TFA)

This qualification is suitable for foster parents and to be used widely in fostering agencies, as part of the Therapeutic Fostering Assessment. It is mapped into the Training, Support and Development (TSD) and All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) 

Level 3 Award in Therapeutic Parent Coaching 

This qualification is suitable for individuals who have completed the certificate in Trauma-Informed Parenting and want to work as a Therapeutic Parent Coach.

Level 3 Trauma-informed Life Story work

This qualification is suitable for Parents and Supporting Professionals who are interested in supporting children and young people with Trauma-Informed Life Story Work.

Level 4 Trauma-Informed Practitioner Diploma 

This qualification is suitable for Supporting Professionals who work with children who have experienced trauma, including all professionals in the workforce including managers.
