Course Overview

 

Understanding behaviour as a form of communication is essential for anyone working with children and young people. This training explores how behaviours often reflect unmet needs, emotional distress, or past trauma.

Join us to develop the skills to interpret behaviour through a trauma-informed lens and respond with empathy, insight, and effective strategies.

For: Social Workers, Therapists, Children Support workers, and family support workers.

Duration: 10 am - 3 pm

2. Examine common behaviours and their underlying causes
Identify patterns in behaviour and explore the emotional or environmental factors that may be influencing them.

 

3. Break down behaviour through the lens of trauma
Learn to assess behaviour in the context of trauma and develop proactive strategies to support children effectively.

Who Should Attend?

This training is aimed at professionals working in education, social care, youth work, and healthcare who wish to better understand and respond compassionately and knowledgeably to the behaviours of children and young people, and it forms part of the Level 4 Trauma-Informed Practitioner Diploma.
