Who We Support
COECT supports families, carers and professionals who care for children and young people affected by trauma, loss and neurodivergent characteristics.
If you’re navigating complex behaviour, emotional overwhelm or uncertainty about what your child needs, you’re in the right place.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Parents and Carers
We support parents and carers who are raising children with:
- trauma histories
- emotional dysregulation
- sensory needs
- masking or PDA profiles
- attachment needs
- high levels of stress or anxiety
Many of the families we work with are experiencing compassion fatigue, blocked care or burnout.
We offer calm, practical support that helps things feel more manageable.
Foster, Adoptive and Kinship Families
We understand the unique challenges of caring for children who have experienced early‑life adversity.
You may be navigating:
- complex trauma responses
- relationship ruptures
- developmental trauma
- identity and belonging needs
- behaviours that feel confusing or overwhelming
We’re here to offer support that is gentle, realistic and grounded in lived experience.

We support professionals who work with children and young people, including:
- teachers and school staff
- social workers
- residential teams
- youth workers
- community organisations
You may be supporting children with trauma, neurodivergence or emotional dysregulation.
We help you build safer, more regulated environments where children can feel understood.
