Client/Practitioner Agreement
Working Together
It is important that you are comfortable within our working relationship for it to be a positive and therapeutic experience. In relation to working with you, we do not need to know the issue you would like resolved and can work with you on undisclosed issues. However, sometimes you may find it helpful to discuss the issue we are working on. If at any point you feel that it isn’t right for you, we can discuss possible referrals to another practitioner.
Session Bookings and Payment Terms
We offer virtual sessions via Zoom, which are typically 60-90 minutes long unless otherwise agreed upon between the Client and Practitioner. Sessions will be agreed upon and booked in advance. The sessions will start and finish at a pre-agreed time when you book, and the number of sessions can be ongoing, depending on the specific work we are doing with you.
The sessions will be paid for either via our online payment system or by invoice. Payment plans are available for packages lasting 3 sessions or more.
Cancellations
If the Client needs to cancel a session for any reason, 72 hours’ notice is required. We will then re-arrange the session within seven working days to ensure the sessions keep to the planned schedule. If, for any reason, the practitioner must cancel the session, they will rearrange the session at a mutually agreeable time and at everyone’s earliest convenience. All sessions are non-refundable.
Confidentiality/Safeguarding
The issues which we explore within the sessions are confidential. However, should during our work together, we consider that you are likely to cause serious harm to either yourself or others or as a minor, your safety is at risk, and we reserve the right to consult the appropriate authorities. (e.g., Supervisor, Doctor, Police) We will endeavour to inform you of our decision and explain our reasons before carrying out this action. However, we reserve the right to do so without prior consultation with you should we consider that the situation's urgency requires us to act immediately to safeguard your or others' physical safety.
Records
Brief records of our sessions will be made and are confidential. These records will not identify you as the client and will be stored safely.
Supervision
As practitioners, we have a professional supervisor with whom we may discuss our work; in this case, all client anonymity will be upheld. The supervision we receive helps us to continue our professional development as Wellbeing Practitioners.
Indemnification
The Client shall indemnify and hold the Practitioner harmless for any loss or liability arising from any actions taken or situations created due to the therapeutic relationship.
Ethical practice
The Haven is run by trained Life Coaches, Therapists, and Havening Techniques® Certified Practitioners. As professionals working in a supportive role, we always attempt to ensure the client’s well-being and emotional safety.
Information if agencies/organisations are paying for our services
It is important to note that our practitioners are bound by confidentiality as set out in this Client/Practitioner Agreement whilst delivering services to you and therefore unable to discuss specific details relating to yourself and the work carried out with you to third parties, i.e. paying agency or organisation.
We actively encourage you to be open and honest with the paying agency and/or organisation for the benefit of all parties, and with your permission, we will give a brief report of session outcomes and future actions if required.
